DESCRIPTION:

As a Sr Procurement/Sourcing Specialist, you'll support the execution of category strategies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance, enable reduced costs, and ensure continuous improvement. You'll leverage your expertise to develop and execute effective program management solutions while building strong internal relationships that advance our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

SCALE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports cluster leader and category leaders in the execution of category initiatives and projects to deliver key category performance indicators, including savings, supplier rationalization, low-cost region sourcing, risk management, spend under agreement, joint innovation, supplier performance, etc.

  • Support cluster leader with reporting and communicating key data on performance for the region covering division/sites and categories

  • Develop expertise in the business needs and capabilities for major spend categories and key procurement processes and Source to Pay systems.   

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Report performance data for assigned categories and/or key business processes.

  • Communicate, monitor, and manage compliance with sourcing strategy and/or business process. 

  • Monitor performance of suppliers and ensure that performance issues are intensified appropriately and quickly addressed.

  • Supports supplier business reviews to ensure both parties meet obligations under the terms of agreement, including performance standards and continuous improvement goals.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally to ensure full understanding and support of strategic sourcing key processes


REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in procurement/sourcing in large multinational organizations
• Preferred Fields of Study: Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
• Project Management certification desired
• CPSM, CPIM, or equivalent procurement certification preferred
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier relationship management
• Strong analytical and financial acumen with ability to develop business cases and drive cost savings
• Project management capabilities and experience managing complex, global initiatives
• Proven negotiation skills and ability to influence in matrix environment
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and project management tools
• Experience with ERP systems, spend analytics, and e-sourcing platforms
• Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to work collaboratively across global, cross-functional teams
• Experience in life sciences, biotech, pharmaceutical or regulated industries preferred
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
• Travel 10-50% as required by role
• Fluency in English required; additional languages beneficial
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously
• Experience with supplier quality management systems and regulatory compliance
