Job Summary:

You are a Journeyperson or registered apprentice Ironworker that has experience working in an industrial shop setting. We are looking for Ironworkers to support us in our pipe fabrication and module assembly facility.

Work Conditions:

  • Shift based position working 5 days on with 2 off
  • Working 10 – 12 hours per day
  • Local work only in Nisku- No Camp
  • Project scope is expected to run until the Summer of 2025 (may be able to be transferred to camp based role upon completion)

Responsibilities:

  • Stick build steel erection for structural steel building and structural steel panelization
  • Bolt up and impacting
  • Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the lay out of work
  • Position steel units, align holes, and insert temporary bolts while checking alignments and joining steel parts
  • Heavy lift, rigging and setting of building modules
  • Ensures the safety of the crew, equipment, and environment

Requirements:

  • Must possess a Journeyperson Ironworker certification or be registered as an apprentice with AIT or a recognized provincial training authority
  • Successful complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • OSSA Regional with CSTS/BSO or CSO, Fall Protection (Training can be provided through CLAC/ESC)
  • EWP and Confined Space are an asset
  • Basic Ironworker tools will be required
