We are hiring an IT Site Services Technician to, a role which fits within our EMEA team, based out of Heywood, England.

Primary tasks are to provide high quality support to our staff members remotely and our English based sites in person when required.

We are hiring an IT Site Services Technician (hybrid), a role which will be based primarily at our site in Heywood, England.


The successful candidate will join a team responsible for ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security of our network and systems. The candidate will be responsible for providing remote IT support across all group sites. There may be occasional need to travel in this role. As such, a full, clean driving licence along with flexibility to travel is required.

Our team supports the European, Middle Eastern, African and Indian (EMEAi) territories for Neogen Corporation, a top-performing NASDAQ listed business employing over 2,800 people worldwide.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Maintains high quality customer service, ensuring that all customers are treated in an appropriate manner. 
  • Serves as an escalation point for IT Operations Technician I’s to resolve difficult IT tickets. 
  • Training and mentoring IT Service Desk Agent I’s and serving as a resource to Service Desk team members. 
  • Diagnoses and resolves software/hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows) and across a range of software applications (Office365, Adobe, VPN, etc..) 
  • Assists with any logged IT related incident when called upon. 
  • Take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary. 
  • Accurately documenting pertinent information for requests and incidents in ITSM ticketing system 
  • Attending and participating in team meetings 
  • Implementing new technical procedures as needed 
  • Maintaining company IT assets and inventory, ensuring that assets are updated in accordance with asset management policies and procedures. 
  • Install and configure new IT equipment (workstations, switch/firewall, servers, etc.) 
  • Working on assigned projects on an ad hoc basis and assisting with other corporate initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested. 

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous IT experience is desirable, preferably within a similar on-site role.
  • Delivering the highest level of service to the customer.
  • Must be highly motivated, with excellent organisational skills and be able to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative.
