Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Manager Supply Chain Programs 2 to join our Tactical Space team in Dulles, VA.
We are looking for someone to be responsible and accountable for the execution and performance of a subset of complex subcontractors and direct materials of a specific Integrated Product Team (IPT) for the HALO program. This individual will work closely with a specific IPT lead of the program that they are assigned to as a co-lead of the IPT and be tasked with leading a cross-functional Supplier Management Team (SMT). The SMT is responsible to ensure that requirements and schedule needs of the program are met to enable mission success.
Acts as the main focal point for the Global Supply Chain (GSC) for the entire IPT that the individual is assigned to. This position will report key status to the program’s GSC lead and be involved in various reviews with program and customer leadership.
Executive reviews will include briefing the Program Management Office (PMO) and executive management on the status and issues affecting program const and schedule in assigned IPT.
Job Duties:
- Leading and directing the cross-functional Supplier Management Team (SMT) to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectives.
- Measuring and reporting vendor program performance.
- Delivering presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders.
- Participating in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions.
- Coordinating the identification, distribution, tracking, and completion of Subcontract requirements.
- Management of the Subcontract baselines – including subordinate elements of the Subcontract.
- Work with CAM & IPT for Development and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost & schedule control methodologies and tools.
- Managing suppliers to meet program objectives.
- Adherence to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards.
- Ensuring the SMT understands and adheres to contract scope and manages change through control board activities.
- Conducting risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 8 years (Masters with 6 years) of relevant experience in supply chain, program management, procurement, or purchasing
- 2 years experience in leading a team or in a supervisory role
- Solid understanding of general procurement, manufacturing and subcontract execution workflows
Preferred Qualifications:
- Aerospace and defense experience
- Track record working a supply chain program for a complex system integration application in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to communicate with multiple levels internal to the organization and externally to suppliers
- Ability to create and foster enduring relationships internally and externally with suppliers.
- Ability to work under limited supervision. No instructions needed on routine work, and general instructions given on new lines of work or special assignments
- Understanding of forecasting and planning with an emphasis on driving execution to need with an emphasis on working knowledge of Integrated Master Schedules
- Capable of applying highly analytical approaches to problem solving.
- Ability to maintain an organized workload and preserve attention to detail
Salary Range: $138,100.00 - $207,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
