Position Purpose:


Responsible for inventory control including planning, tracking, trending, and reporting as well as preparing purchase requisitions and processing receipt of inventory. Leads team responsible for IS inventory receiving provides staff development and training on processes and software. Continuously seeks process improvement opportunities and makes appropriate recommendations to management.

What You'll Do:

  • Monitors, forecasts and plans for inventory needs. Interfaces with workstation related project teams, ISSM Workstation Infrastructure Standards Committee, IS Procurement.
  • Prepares purchase requisition when re-order points are met. Reports on inventory balances. Maintains effective working relationships with IS Finance, Deployment, Work Station Support management.
  • Responsible for coordination, distribution, monitoring and reporting of the Receiving team’s work. Makes recommendations to improve productivity, cost effectiveness and timeliness.
  • Reviews and distributes all approved work requests based on staff availability and skill, ensuring all needed resources are obtained.
  • Monitors progress and performance, and resolves any problems that may arise. Reports progress and productivity of work to management, including key project milestones.
  • Resolves all order and customer-based issues or concerns (e.g., defective equipment, incorrect equipment received, change in customer requirements) to ensure no impact to productivity. Oversees shipping of equipment back to vendors. Provides feedback to IS Procurement on order issues.
  • Leads team in reviewing/reconciling actual inventory to reported inventory, including review and identification of process gaps and assigning to team for correction. Works on project teams related to reconciliation and inventory forecasting efforts.
  • Oversees the planning and shipping of equipment to remote sites. Ensures that IAMS is updated, and INFO tickets are generated for remote sites to meet all company inventory management requirements.
  • Oversees receipt and verification of equipment from couriers. Ensures packing slips match purchase orders and works with IS Procurement to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Ensures all processes meet stringent internal and external audit requirements. Works with Corporate Internal Audit team to provide assistance in quarterly audit reviews.

To Qualify for This Position, You’ll Need:

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Work Experience:

  • 1 year experience shipping/receiving or inventory control experience in a production environment.
  • 1 year experience with spreadsheet and database applications, including experience with spreadsheet and query development.

We prefer that you have:

  • ServiceNow experience
  • ICD experience

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Good judgment, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position throughout the day.
  • Ability to transport or move up to 50 pounds unassisted, on a continuous basis.
