Southeast Toyota Distributors has an immediate opening for a full time Accessory Installer position at our Vehicle Processing Center (VPC).

The One Stop Shop Installer functions as an Assembler in our One-stop Installation department and is responsible for installing accessories on Toyota vehicles that require torque values and/or electrical routing, while maintaining quality and efficiency. The associate is expected to cross-train and assist as needed to support other departments throughout the operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Mechanically inclined & comfortable with using tools, including torque wrenches and willing to wear required safety equipment.
  • Quality and production oriented with a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions in English to consistently apply Toyota Motor North America and Southeast Toyota Distributors installation procedures for a large variety of accessories.
  • Will perform Toyota and Lexus installs as needed
  • May be required to work at the other Vehicle Processing Center in Jacksonville (Westlake) depending on workload.
  • Willing to utilize required safety equipment including step stools, non-slip mats, and stools. 
  • Able to work effectively with minimum supervision while operating motor vehicles safely, including maneuvering up and down ramps.
  • Must be able to become Torque Certified via Snap-On and NC3 (administered in-house)

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license required; clean Motor Vehicle Record, ability to drive manual transmission vehicles preferred.
  • Previous automotive installation / mechanical experience preferred.
  • Must meet minimum shop expectations for quality and efficiency.
  • Must be team oriented, as this role will be part of a 2-person team
  • Understanding of basic automotive electrical wiring and installation of various accessories or equipment.
  • Ability to stand/walk the majority of the day as well as a significant amount of bending, stooping, reaching, lifting and twisting and able to lift 50-75 lbs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with teammates, colleagues and management required.
  • Excellent housekeeping and organizational skills to align with 5S initiative.
  • Ability to operate motor vehicles in a safe manner including maneuvering up and down ramps required.
  • Experience utilizing our “Train Me” site and Atlas Copco torque control system preferred.
  • Excellent work and attendance record with demonstrated flexibility to work overtime and alternate assignments as needed.
  • Some Saturday work may be required depending on workload.
