Full Stack Commerce Engineer (generative AI/ML) - Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and driven Full Stack Commerce Engineer with a strong focus on Generative AI and Machine Learning to join our growing commerce engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and scaling our e-commerce platform solutions, with a particular emphasis on integrating cutting-edge AI/ML capabilities. You'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from enhancing product discovery and personalization through AI-driven recommendations to optimizing customer journeys and backend processes with ML models. This is a unique chance to apply your full-stack expertise in a domain that is being profoundly transformed by artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-Stack Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable full-stack features for our e-commerce platform, spanning both frontend and backend.
• AI/ML Integration: Implement and integrate Generative AI and Machine Learning models into our commerce workflows and user-facing features, including personalization, content generation, and customer service automation.
• Personalization: Develop and deploy AI-powered recommendation engines, personalized search results, and tailored product offerings.
• Content Generation: Explore and integrate AI for dynamic product descriptions, marketing copy, and personalized customer communications.
• Data & APIs: Work with data scientists on feature engineering, and design/build APIs to connect frontend applications with backend services and external AI/ML services.
• Database Management: Work with various databases (SQL and NoSQL) to manage and query e-commerce data efficiently.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks across the stack, ensuring a fast and seamless user experience.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, data scientists, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into commerce solutions.
• Innovation: Research and evaluate new AI/ML technologies, tools, and methodologies relevant to e-commerce.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Required experience with Google GenAI solutions, Vertex.AI, building agents, and training LLMs.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer, with a track record of building and deploying scalable web applications.
• Demonstrated experience in integrating and deploying Machine Learning models in a production environment.
• Proficiency in both frontend and backend development technologies.
• Strong experience with API design, development, and integration.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a small team.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the e-commerce or retail industry.
• Familiarity with data analysis and feature engineering.
• Experience with performance optimization and addressing application scalability issues.
• A passion for staying ahead of the curve with new AI/ML technologies and tools.
