Job Description Summary

The RN Perioperative OR Coordinator II is the first level management and typically supervises one or more areas of a department. Supervises two or more professional and or support staff at work as well as their day to day activities. Typically does not have the authority to hire, fire, or promote but their input on these types of actions is highly considered. Main focus is on each employee they manage. May coordinate the business aspects of a department to include but not limited to strategy, project management, budget planning and oversight and financial operations.

Additional Job Description

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree Nursing program with completion of the degree within 2 years for promotion. Experience: Two years of work experience within the OR excluding the orientation period.   Licensure/Certification: Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.  Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
