Global Subject Matter Expert – Solution Project & Production Planning

Role and Responsibilities
- As Global Subject Matter Expert you will focus on two Manufacturing Level 3 process areas: Manage Solution Project and Manage Production Planning.
- You will support the introduction of the new Manage Solution Project process as part of the Flexible Delivery Model project.
The Solution Project will orchestrate the shipment execution of an ASML product supporting financial compliance and traceability. It will administrate system shipment, funnel config information from Manufacturing towards Install, enable plant abroad concept with storage locations and enable milestone based triggering of financial processes.
- You will be the second Global Subject Matter Expert for the Manufacturing Level 3 process Manage Production Planning. You will work closely together with the current Global Subject Matter Expert.
Manage Production Planning process: Providing ready to execute operational production plans based on all constraints, actual work in progress and buffer status on daily base for Systems/Modules.
- You drive and ensure the up-to-date overall global template / roadmap for your process areas (with owners/stakeholders), based on best practices and standard IT solutions best suited to ASML’s business characteristics and needs.
- You are in close contact and regularly align with the Business Process Owner of your process areas and report out to senior management if required.
- You work closely together with the Global Business Process Owner, Global Business Process Lead, other Global and Local Subject Matter Experts, Business architects, IT architects / IT system experts, (Chief) Product owners and Agile Business/IT teams.
- You know the project portfolios; understand relevance / impact for your areas; are the gatekeeper for process changes, ensure adherence to standards / process template / IT target architecture.
- You participate in improvement projects and in Agile teams, taking ownership for deliverables according to agreed plans, executing activities like:
- Support and guide program/project definition, scoping, benefits and deliverable definition.
- Facilitate in defining / gathering / documenting of business requirements
- Define to-be process designs (in-line with global roadmap/template) and support with IT solution design (in-line with IT target architecture) and validation.
- Analyze impact of changes for existing ways of working and support in determining implementation strategies and change management in roll-out to end-users and communication to stakeholders.
- Support definition and execution of testing scripts (System Integration Testing / User Acceptance Testing) and training of key-users and end users, if required.
- Support creation /validation of end-user documentation, if required.
- Support at go-live / aftercare, if required.
Above can be done for small, single changes but mostly as project member representing Manufacturing in larger improvement projects. Specific projects you can be asked to participate in are SAP ERP migration project, Flexible Delivery Model project, HMI integration and New Manufacturing Execution System.
For 2026 you will mainly focus on supporting the Flexible Delivery Model project, specifically in Workstream 3; setting up the Solution project functionality.
- You ensure up-to-date process descriptions in ASML’s Business Process repository (ARIS) and support during process audits (e.g. ISO audits).
- You provide information on as-is processes, advise, give guidance, answering ad-hoc questions for your area of expertise.
Education and experience
- Master (or Bachelor degree with multiple years of proven work experience) in Industrial Engineering & Management Science / Business Administration / Business- IT management or related field.
- 5 - 10 years relevant work experience in a production environment with high tech products and intricate production and work preparation processes.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of Production and Production planning processes.
- Experience and functional knowledge of IT applications used in the two process areas is preferred, like SAP ECC, SAP PP, SAP ME, SAP SD, SAP PS.
- Experience with process improvement / IT system implementation projects, as subject matter expert / consultant.
- Experience in business process modeling (in MyProcess/ARIS) and integration with IT applications.

- Process oriented, analytical, conceptual and result driven (hands-on mentality).
- Open-minded, strong communication skills both in word and writing, with strong presentation skills
- Consultancy and change management skills, able to convince people, also at higher management levels.
- Flexible, team player, Self-starter, takes initiative.
- Fluent in English in speech and writing.
Other information
This position reports to the manager of the Manufacturing Services - Means & Methods - Functional Application Management department. Our department guides and supports the execution of global projects through definition, requirement specification, testing and implementation of new or improved functionalities in Manufacturing processes and applications. We drive and execute improvements in processes and IT managed applications and offer second line support for end-users in multiple factories, specifically work preparation & manufacturing execution processes.
- This is a day shift function
- Some international travel is required for projects and competence center meetings
