Position is responsible for supervising accounting staff and/or processes ensuring all cost control methods and accounting protocols are maintained and followed, focusing on but not limited to accounts payable and billing customers.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:

  • 83,000 - 88,000 Per Year

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures, controls correspondence, designs filing systems, reviews and approves supply requisitions, assigns and monitors clerical functions  

  • Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.  

  • Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures: measures results against standards.  

  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results  

  • Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special projects; summarizes information; identifies trends  

  • Maintains office staff results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; plans, monitors and appraises job results and/or in the case of dotted line reports influencing and monitoring results and recommending appropriate actions to the BU controller and/or local GM. 

  • Performs weekly projections and forecasts as needed  

  • Contributes to and performs monthly closing for two operating units  

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results as needed 

  • Manages billing, AP, SAP coordinator, and payroll staff for two operating units  

  • Assists controller in ensuring necessary controls are in place  

  • Coordinates monthly inventory process and ensures SAP functions are performed on a timely basis  

  • Performs other duties as needed  

Qualifications 

 

Education: 

  • Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related Field required.  

  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance preferred.  

 

Work Experience:  

  • 3 years accounting experience in high volume, high transaction, manufacturing environment.   

  • Previous supervisory experience with accounting/payroll staff preferred.  

  • Previous experience in SAP or other ERP programs preferred.  

 

Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration) 

  • CPA or finance/accounting certifications a plus. 

Job Skills:   

  • Knowledge of MS Office applications, specifically intermediate knowledge of Excel.  

  • Forecasting, budgeting, and implementing/following cost control methods.  

 

Language / Communication Skills: 

  • Effective written and oral communications   

  • Bi- Lingual is a plus

Internal Relationships: Unit billing, unit accounts payable, centralized purchasing office and procurement and ASG – (charter) 

 

External Relationships: Vendors regarding payment (accounts payable) 

 

Work Environment / Requirements of the Job: Must be able to work varied shift or days, during specific periods of month (yearly, quarterly, month end) 

 

Budget / Revenue Responsibility: 70.5 million
