POSITION SUMMARY
CVS Health is seeking hands-on, passionate technologists who want to join a high-energy team driving digital innovation at the intersection of healthcare and AI. We are looking for a Staff Software Development Engineer with expert-level backend engineering knowledge to build enterprise AI platform capabilities that automate workflows and accelerate healthcare solutions. This role requires collaboration across business, operations, engineering teams, and leadership to deliver production-grade infrastructure that makes a measurable difference.
You'll architect and deliver core platform services including workflow orchestration engines, multi-provider LLM integration, automated deployment pipelines, and production observability infrastructure. Your work will directly reduce manual processes, accelerate time-to-production for AI applications, and enable teams to focus on healthcare innovation rather than infrastructure complexity.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$106,605.00 - $284,280.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
