The Opportunity

DAT is looking for a seasoned Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Platform Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Organizations. This role will be split between two teams and can be based in the Beaverton/Portland area or Greater Seattle area.

What You’ll Do

  • Be responsible for defining and delivering important programs with broad organizational, business and technical impact.
  • Provide cross-functional leadership with Engineering, Developers, Security and inter/intra team communications to deliver outstanding program outcomes.
  • Work with Platform Engineering to drive initiatives across the business related to implementation of third party SAAS products
  • Leverage our operational excellence targets to help drive prioritization across our constituents.
  • Wherever possible work by leveraging data and not spreadsheets to drive program reporting and technical roadmaps.
  • Bring strong, data-driven and strategic technical judgment to decisions.
  • Be hands-on, working closely with Software Engineers and Engineering Managers to design, build, and deliver the next generation of DAT’s infrastructure services, information security and apps.
  • Amplify your impact by educating and mentoring the TPM and Engineering communities on program management best practices.
  • Understand roadmaps, dashboards, telemetry, and why/how it is important to be well-managed
  • Identify opportunities to improve execution of the organization as a whole, to increase engineering productivity through tools and light-weight processes.

The Skills and Experience You’ll Bring

  • 7+ years of demonstrated industry experience and expertise leading medium to large complex engineering projects in current cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Strategic planning capabilities like OKRs, Smart Goals, etc.
  • Ability to thrive and succeed in a dynamic environment not slowed down by ambiguity or competing priorities
  • AWS, Observability tooling (Datadog/NewRelic preferred), Jira,
  • Experience working cross functionally with engineering, product management, and other functions involved in the product life cycle (SDLC, CI/CD, etc.)
  • Strong program management skills with technical and business acumen
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical groups
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, consultation and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of NIST CSF, CIS Benchmarks, and Industry regulations for Data Privacy, PCI, and SOC2.
  • BS/MS/PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields or equivalent practical experience (e.g. familiarity with SQL, Python, Data)

For Colorado-based candidates, in compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the minimum salary for this role is $110,000.00 + benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience. DAT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
