Warehouse Support Technicians in our McIntosh Plant work with the Finishing and Packaging Technicians to help support the operation, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of a highly automated state of the art packaging systems that produces sucralose (Splenda®).   

Employees may be assigned to perform any task in the Plant which they can perform safely.

Warehouse Support Requirements

To be proficient an employee must:

  • Know all safety programs, procedures and expectations: PPE, MSDS, GMP, guarding, powered equipment, safety auditing, location of safety equipment, etc.
  • Display basic computer skills:  Windows, E-mail, SAP, time entry, etc.
  • Know process, procedure and basic equipment operation for: Packaging equipment, warehousing, shipping etc.
  • Know basic SMP’s for area specific processes and equipment.
  • Be fully capable of safely doing all field related activities.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to safely perform the following tasks:

  • Lifting of up to 55 pounds without mechanical assistance.
  • Use of hand tools above shoulders, under ergonomically stressful conditions, and under application of heavy force by employee.
  • Must be able to work in hot and cold temperatures, climb stairs, climb ladders, and perform other physical duties.
  • Ability to work a rotating shift schedule in a 365/24/7 operation with the flexibility to work alternate schedules as needed.
