Process and assist in the Human Resources Department for employment related personnel changes and maintains complete and accurate employee records to ensure legal compliance. Provides general support to the Human Resources Department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be familiar with regional and college-wide personnel policies and procedures.
  • Process and assist with all new employee onboarding, not limited to background checks, new hire paperwork, I-9 Verification. Traveling may be needed to retrieve documents.
  • Assist and input adjunct faculty contracts, part-hourly, and work-study employee's employment data into the Workday system.
  • Serves as a backup for other personnel office staff when necessary.
  • Provides personnel clerical support including: refer calls, sort mail, provide forms, answers general questions, sort mail, and
  • Organize and maintain accurate files for Human Resources Department.
  • Support Audit functions (e.g., employee academic official transcripts on file; employee compliance) and follow-up, if needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to employee records and personnel actions.
  • Assist and process the open enrollment application for employees.
  • Order and maintain needed office supplies.
  • Process E-verify for all new employees.
  • Attend Central Office HR and Payroll meetings as required
  • Serve as back-up responding to employment verification and other employee information requests.
  • Serves on regional committees as required.
  • Verify bi-weekly payroll trials for part-time and work study employees.
  • Assist with employee events including annual employee service award program
  • Employee reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and/or designee.

Pay - $17 - $20 an hour

Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
• Must demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service and effective time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous HRIS, recruiting, and training and development experience.

• 1 years of human resources experience or related experience.
