Job Summary:
As a Director of Data Science in the Risk Technology organization, you will be expected to leverage your expertise in Data Science to drive innovative solutions that prioritize customer trust and privacy. You will get to support the rapidly evolving field of privacy through data analysis, advanced statistics, developing machine learning / data science models and data best-practices utilizing advanced modeling techniques for forecasting and problem solving.
About Team: Risk Technology - Customer Trust Gateway
Create customer-focused privacy experiences, improve trust and transparency, and empower customers with preference and data controls at Walmart. Our organization, i.e. Global Risk and Compliance -Digital Citizenship Tech, focuses on managing and delivering world-class products, driving policy compliance, creating partnerships, and developing pipelines and self-service tools. Responsible for Global Privacy Technology Product implementation(s) so that we can earn customers and associate trust.
What You'll Do:
Lead the team to research, innovate and develop cutting-edge machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, GenAI algorithms to continuously improve our operating models.
Develop and manage machine learning/ data science models that address challenges and opportunities in customer data privacy and performance optimization, risk mitigation, user experience, and operational efficiency.
Ensure close collaboration with business partners to continuously and collaboratively launch new models, algorithms and improvements into production. Present business insights internally and externally. Build key measurements and a test/iterate philosophy to improve results.
Challenge accepted approaches and develop innovative solutions that enable explosive growth with the Customer Trust Gateway.
What You'll Bring:
You’re experienced with Data Science and Machine Learning (aka A.I.), including Regression, Classification, Ensemble Methods, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, GenAI, etc.
You have strong implementation experience with at least one of the programming languages (Python, Java, C++, etc.).
You have strong hands-on skills in data wrangling over massive datasets using distributed computing platform.
Experience mentoring junior data scientists or machine learning team.
You’re experienced with end-to-end modeling projects emerging from research efforts.
You have an excellent academic or industrial track record of proposing, conducting, and reporting results of original research, plus collaborative research with publications.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
