Job Summary:

This position is responsible for complying and maintaining quantity and type of materials received and consumed within the inventory system.  Communicating with all members of the production team and escalating ant concerns or variances to supervisor or management team member.  

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Works with the production team to verify and correct production yields.
  • Verifies and audits all production and default locations in SAP daily.
  • Assures consumption of materials are completed in real time, and locations are accurate.
  • Performs daily tasks required to evaluate production performance including assuring scales are verified, tare weights are properly added to racks/combos, verifying and escalating any issues with product specifications when completing transfers, and throughput monitoring.
  • Coordinates with all departments including QA to verify that all necessary paperwork is being turned in.
  • Participates in physical inventory counts and traceability exercises.
  • Follow all Personnel Safety policies/procedures, including the use of proper PPE, as well as ensuring the safe use of required tools and equipment.
  • Follow all Food Safety, Quality Assurance, GMP’s and general plant policies/procedures.
  • Communicates with all team members including but not limited to crew leads and Supervisors when problems arise or when coordinating SAP specifications and issues.  
  • Provides support to team members and departments as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

 

Minimum:

6 months of continuous work history within a manufacturing plant or in the food industry.

Basic mathematical skills required, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division.

Strong reading and writing abilities.

Must be able to properly complete appropriate paperwork

 

Preferred:

1 to 2 years of manufacturing operation experience.

Previous experience working with inventory systems.

Previous computer experience including excel, word, and outlook.

 

Demands and Work Environment:   

  • Exposure to wet conditions.
  • The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, grasp with both hands, or feel; substantial movements (motion) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers; reaching and pulling with hands and arms.
  • Prolonged standing or sitting - Occasional walking is required for short distances.
  • Ability to consistently move/drag/lift up to 60 lbs. frozen raw materials on a regular basis.
  • Ability to consistently move/drag 100-150 plastic totes.
  • Frequent stretching out of arms, and use of upper body.
  • Occasional turning and twisting at the waist.
  • Continuous exposure to temperatures ranging from 10F – 85F degrees.

 

ABSENCE:    In the absence of key personnel the employee’s supervisor or qualified designee (one that has been trained in the key employee's duties) is responsible to complete or delegate the completion of all required tasks and responsibilities.
