Scope:

  • The Soldermask (Coat) Operator is responsible for operating the machines that apply soldermask ink to the printed circuit board (PCB) panels.
     

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate machines that pre-cleans panels to prepare for soldermask ink
  • Prepare and operate machine that coats the panels in LPI mask, this includes selecting the correct ink based on work instructions
  • Set up screens for screen-print press including applying emulsion to the screen, expose, develop, inspect, and dry bake the screen
  • Operate the screen printing press table to apply legend ink, removable and silver paste mask
  • Operate oven to tack-cure soldermask, and oven to thermal cure legend ink
  • Prepare soldermask ink, including mixing and viscosity checks
  • Perform process quality checks
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on the machine with some oversight
  • Maintain production flow by keeping the department organized
  • Follow all departmental process procedures correctly
  • Complete all departmental documentation accurately
  • Complete quality checks when product arrives in and exits the department
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management and cross-train as needed to assist production

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to stand for the duration of shift
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, customer specifications, and procedures
  • Basic math, problem solving, interpersonal skills, and computer skills
  • Must possess interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Follow all safety measures

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Previous PCB experience preferred

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
