Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to support our dynamic team in Hazelwood, Missouri!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Administers Oracle and Postgres in production environments.
  • Guides the successful completion of database related projects.
  • Displays a spirit of wanting to learn more and do more while setting an example to the team.
  • Demonstrates industry best practices and skills with databases, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and UNIX and Linux operating systems.
  • Displays excellent oral and written communication skills to team members, peers, customers and management.
  • Represents the database team with integrity and leadership.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to work 2 days a week onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Server Operating Systems setup and configuration
  • 1+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator supporting corporate databases including installing, configuring, tuning, troubleshooting and/or upgrading Oracle databases (RDBMS versions10g, 11g, 12c and higher)
  • Experience using Oracle/SQL for application interactions with databases
  • Experience functioning in a cross-functional environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Masters in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Experience with Software Testing or Software Verification

Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:

Summary Pay Range: $118,150 USD - $159,850 USD
