The role

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Event Coordinator to join our Clients and Markets team in our Sydney office. Reporting to the Event Manger, the primary objective of this role will be to assist in delivering events for all practice groups and working cohesively to ensure a high level of support and coordination is provided for firm events including employee, industry and client functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work independently in coordinating the logistics and set up associated with all local events
  • Collate, enter and maintain event requirements in the event booking software programme (CABS)
  • Create event briefs, research venues and suppliers, source and negotiate quotes and manage event budgets
  • Collate any required event materials, prepare event schedules and manage event timelines
  • Communicate relevant correspondence and event requirements to the appropriate supporting departments for processing and executing events
  • Communicate to local staff details of relevant internal and external events
  • Attend events and assist with on-site logistics and running of the event, as required
  • Code and process invoices associated with event expenditure
  • Undertake a range of administrative tasks in support of the local Events department function including supporting the Events Manager and other C&M Managers, Advisers and Co-ordinators where necessary
  • Participate in various national business development projects.


Skills & Experience


To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Completed, tertiary qualifications in event management or Marketing
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Corporate Events, Business Development within a professional services environment
  • Events booking software (CABS or equivalent) and client relationship database (Interaction) experience desirable
  • Flexibility with working hours
  • Corporate events experience is essential
  • Proven ability to use Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Strong administration, organisational and time management skills.

In addition to this, we're looking for a resilient, self-starter. Someone who is able to work autonomously and is focused on attention to detail and providing an outstanding service to their clients.

The Clients and Markets (C&M) team is responsible for providing services and advice on client relationship management and marketing, development of tenders and other marketing materials, event management, market and industry research and analysis, media and corporate affairs, legal communications and branding and design.
