The Operational Risk Business Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness.

There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead business processes and strategies, developing and implementing solutions in specific areas.
  • Monitors goals and able to translate insights into business cases to aid decision making.
  • Develops a broad and detailed understanding of the organization’s landscape, culture, and technology to promote a framework for standardization.
  • Independently assess processes across lines of businesses, and drive actions to accomplish desired results.
  • Develops visualization and narratives for management reporting and escalation.
  • Ensure completeness in documentation, reporting in specific area.
  • Collaborate with, and influence stakeholders to ensure progress on initiatives.
  • Regularly assess and optimize processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and impact.

Key Human Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience.
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision, can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and convince others.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to think critically, influence to solve complex problems, and drive innovative solutions.
  • Adaptability, able to work with ambiguity and change.

Technical Skills:

  • Business writing, presentation skills experience required.
  • Experience in operations.
  • Exposure to process improvement
  • Experience in Operational risk a plus.
  • Basic data skills analysis is a plus.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
