Key Responsibilities

GCN Paid Search Lead

  • Manage and optimize all Baidu/Sogou/360 campaigns to achieve performance targets and business objectives
  • Develop and implement comprehensive paid search strategies for the Greater China market
  • Oversee all invoicing & PO management for Baidu/Sogou/360 to ensure smooth financial operations
  • Support analytics alignment for all paid search channels in the region
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with regional teams to ensure localized campaign effectiveness
  • Run quarterly performance reviews to evaluate regional strategy based on local market trends and KPIs
  • Coordinate with global paid search teams to ensure alignment with worldwide strategy while adapting to local requirements
  • Drive lead generation testing efforts across Chinese search platforms
  • Manage budget allocation and establish performance benchmarks for regional platforms

Technical & Strategic Support

  • Provide expertise on China-specific search platforms and their unique requirements
  • Oversee feed management for regional search engines ensuring all data is accurate and properly categorized
  • Maintain relationships with local platform representatives and evaluate partnerships annually
  • Support analytics implementation for accurate measurement in the Chinese digital ecosystem
  • Execute supplier campaigns in the Greater China region and support their optimization
  • Stay current on Chinese regulatory changes and platform policies affecting paid search marketing
  • Collaborate with the global paid search team to share regional insights and best practices
  • Develop bilingual campaign assets optimized for local platform requirements
  • Analyze competitive landscape in the Greater China market to identify opportunities and threats

What We Are Looking For:

  • 5+ years experience in digital marketing with specific focus on Chinese paid search platforms
  • Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English (written and verbal)
  • Demonstrated experience managing successful Baidu, Sogou, and 360 paid search campaigns
  • In-depth understanding of the Greater China digital landscape and search engine ecosystem
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to extract insights from complex data sets
  • Experience managing marketing budgets effectively in the Chinese market
  • Knowledge of current paid search best practices and trends specific to Greater China
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Working knowledge of SEO principles for Chinese search engines
  • Understanding of Chinese consumer behavior and cultural context
  • Previous experience working with global teams and international brands
  • Experience working in a matrix organization across multiple APAC markets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Baidu, Sogou, and 360 platform certifications
  • Experience with Chinese marketing automation platforms and CRM integration
  • Experience with WeChat and other Chinese digital marketing channels
