Job Summary: This is a split role between the commercial team and accounting team. You will do bookings in SAP, but you will also analyze the result and present your conclusions to both commercial and finance team. It’s a role with a lot of contact with different departments in house and also a lot of contact with external parts. You will have a key role in understanding and improving COGS and Stock related issues.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the accurate recording of stock in the financial accounts. Contributing in month end process and presenting findings to management meetings
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of stock controls. Participating in forums where they are reviewed. Ensuring such controls are adhered to and alerting management if otherwise
  • Preparing and analyzing stock related KPIs on monthly basis and providing comments to management
  • Business partnering with Operations in relation to stock management. Proposing corrective actions where relevant to Stock KPIs
  • Support management accountants with balance sheet and COGS analysis, while participating financial and operational reviews related to LMP performance
  • Develop/ enhance/ implementation tools to quantify variances in KPIs and financial impacts as required
  • Responsible for reconciling stock balances between SAP and AX and reconciling SAP to stock counts every month. Challenging and explaining differences
  • Assist internal and external auditors with all stock related investigations and queries
  • Proactively identify potential problems, analyse information and show quality judgment in decision making
  • Ad hoc tasks related to Stock and COGS

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting/ Finance.
  • Master’s degree in Finance / Qualified accountant

  • ACCA or CIMA is advantage

Work Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Accounting/Finance or Business Analysis in an international environment
  • Experience in SAP finance and control modules
  • Strong capability and knowledge of Excel
  • Understanding of accounting standards and compliance requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Drive for continuous improvement, positive reaction to feedback and quick to learn and adapt, willing to accept new tasks, support team mates when possible
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently without supervision

Language / Communication Skills:

  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English
  • Strong communication skills
