The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at NTU is a leading research school with strengths in smart infrastructure and intelligent transportation systems. We are looking for a Research Associate to support an AISG-funded project on anthropomorphization and socialization in autonomous vehicle interfaces.

The role focuses on data management and research publication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, store, and document research data

  • Prepare and co-author research manuscripts for submission to high-impact journals

  • Assist in grant reporting and project administration as required

  • Complete project closeout documentation

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s qualification degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Psychology, Human Factors, Transportation, or related field

  • At least 1–2 years of relevant experiences in human-vehicle interaction, trust, or social psychology / technical hands-on experience in experimental design and driving simulator platforms

  • Familiarity with experimental research methods, statistical analysis, and human factors principles

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g. SPSS, AMOS, Stata, or Python) and qualitative analysis tools (e.g. NVivo)

  • Competent in strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and scientific writing

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple tasks under project timelines, and demonstrate strong organisational and time-management skills

  • Entry level candidates with a Master’s degree are welcome to apply
