The role will drive and further establish our International Cybersecurity Operations, in addition to playing a key role in driving additional revenue and services to our direct government customers.


Job Description

Please note this role will be hybrid with home and office working. 

A strategic security leader, with the ability to shape the Cyber Security function across the International Managed Services business by leading and working with a diverse team, that will deliver in several areas such as SOC, Incident Management, Security by Design, Security upgrade projects, Physical Security, Physical Access Control, Group Risk and Compliance, Vulnerability Management, reporting into the International Security Director. 

This is a crucial role where you will be seen as the security expert and advisor on all aspects of cyber security. The successful candidate will be able to translate security delivery, within an agreed framework, across all International locations working with the regional Cyber Security leads to ensure that they implement the correct controls to secure the network and systems. 

A key aspect of the role will be the provision of advice and guidance to International teams as they build the capability to sell and deliver a range of MSI Cyber Services to our customer base. This is a key objective and the ability to provide experience in this area will be essential in growing this part of our business capability.

You will be accountable for:

  • Working with the International leadership and their teams to ensure delivery of the Security strategy and the approved roadmaps for security. 
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on all aspects of Cyber Security to the business, including the sale and delivery of Cyber Services to our customers.
  • Responsible for driving the growth of Cybersecurity services provided to our existing direct government customers
  • Responsible for security governance with a strong understanding of international cyber legislation
  • Responsible for ensuring that all international  security projects  are operating effectively and are also compliant with policy
  • Working with the international teams to optimise their performance through effective team organisation and management
  • Promoting and driving a culture of diversity and inclusion through the team 
  • Providing direction and guidance on all security matters and ensuring a robust governance process.
  • Ensure that all security controls (process & tools) to safeguard the security (integrity, confidentiality and availability) of all IT Systems are in line with the expectations and standards required.
  • Think ahead and look at new security technologies  and standards to improve the overall security posture and  meet the challenges of an evolving threat landscape
  • Managing relationships and performance of outsourced security providers, ensuring seamless integration with the wider security and IT organisation
     

Decision making and Accountability:

  • Will be responsible and accountable for providing advice and guidance on the implementation of security controls and risk mitigation within International teams


Basic Requirements

  • At least 5  years’ experience in a senior security management role, with CISSP or relevant qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience in working with Government based customers, ideally on an International basis.
  • Previous experience in building a cyber services sales and delivery capability
  • Previous operational experience in SOC, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, GRC, Supply Chain Security, Security by Design, Crisis Management, Security Awareness and Security Technologies.
  • Highly desirable - business development experience in either a corporate or consultancy capacity, able to provide examples of successfully growing a cybersecurity business.
  • Must have wide knowledge on cyber security and be able to converse with technical and non technical  people on security issues.
  • Foreign language skills would be highly desirable 
  • Must be able to articulate security issues and risk at senior executive  level.
  • Experience in managing and overseeing international security functions
  • Strong technical skills especially around IT Security tools and processes,
  • Strong knowledge of operational security management across multiple platform environments.
  • Good working knowledge of global  information security standards (e.g. Cyber Essentials, ISF Standard of Good Practice for Information Security, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Top 20 Controls) and Information Security Industry Good Practices, TSA, Kritis etc.
  • Ability to travel on an International basis is essential
