Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As an Assistant Manager, Client Services, you will provide specialized support to Global Banking (Commercial, Corporate, and Capital Markets) clients across Canada. With experience of diverse RBC products, processes, and services, you will be responsible for successful fulfillment and servicing of complex RBC client transactions and/or investigations. You will effectively analyze non-standard and/or specialized transactions and take ownership and accountability to resolve client investigations and/or process gaps. To succeed, you need a Client-First mindset, Collaboration, and Attention to detail.

The work schedule will be Monday to Friday, between 8:00am to 6:00pm local time, however it may be subject to change based on evolving business needs. Successful candidate must be able to commute to office location: 10 York Mills: TORONTO / 1 Place Ville Marie: MONTREAL

What will you do?

  • Accountable for client requests (day-to-day inquiries, investigations, wires, fraud, etc.), contributing to achievement of business specific Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Take ownership and accountability of client investigations or escalations at first point of contact and works to resolve at source.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of day-to-day job responsibilities, tasks, and activities ensuring a balanced focus on enhanced client experience, efficiency and effectiveness and operational risk.
  • Leverage partners (Branch, Operations, Relationship team) to deliver a best-in-class servicing and where appropriate on-boarding experience for existing clients.
  • Partner with the Department Manager and Sr. Team Leader in support of business strategies.
  • Keep up to date and exercises due diligence in following operational risk policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Utilize deep knowledge and experience of diverse RBC products, processes, and services to process complex and/or specialized RBC client transactions and/or investigations.
     

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated excellence in a service role.
  • Extraordinary client experience behaviors – “white-glove service”.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a growth mindset.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs.

Nice to Have: 

  • College and/or university degree/diploma in any discipline.
  • Multilingual communications skills in French, Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
  • Experience working with Commercial, Global, and/or Capital Markets clients.
  • Knowledge of Business Financial Services products, processes, and applicable systems applications (C360, RBC Express, etc.).
  • Experience and comfort working in an operations environment where client’s needs and operational targets drive daily activities or changes focus.
