Job Description:

Here at DXC we continue to grow our SAP practice and seeking an experienced SAP HCM Solution Architect who will be accountable for the end-to-end design, integration, and delivery of SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions within a transformation programme. This role defines the strategic HCM architecture across Core HR, Payroll, Talent, and Time, ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance requirements, and enterprise IT strategy.

About the Role

As Solution Architect, you will act as the design authority for SAP HCM / HXM solutions, advising business and IT leadership on architecture options, roadmap, and integration across the enterprise. You will shape solution blueprints, lead workshops, govern functional consultants, and provide assurance across Core HR (S/4HANA HCM or SuccessFactors Employee Central), Payroll (SAP H4S4, EC Payroll, or on-premise), and adjacent modules such as Time, Learning, and Recruitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the SAP HCM / HXM solution architecture and roadmap across HR, Payroll, and Talent.

  • Lead workshops with HR, Finance, and business stakeholders to define processes and solution design.

  • Govern functional design across modules including Core HR, Payroll, Time, and Talent.

  • Provide solution assurance for SAP H4S4 Payroll or SuccessFactors EC Payroll where in scope.

  • Ensure integration across Finance (FI/CO), Procurement, and Identity/Access Management.

  • Guide HR data migration, security, GDPR compliance, and reporting strategy.

  • Oversee WRICEF design and integration with SAP and non-SAP systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Workday, identity systems).

  • Provide advisory on cloud vs. on-prem deployment options and transformation roadmap.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to HR leadership on digital HR transformation.

  • Support testing, cutover, and go-live readiness across the HR workstream.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Extensive experience in SAP HCM / SuccessFactors solution design.

  • Strong knowledge of Core HR and Payroll (on-premise and/or cloud – SAP H4S4 Payroll, EC Payroll).

  • Understanding of Time Management, Talent Management, and Learning modules.

  • Experience integrating SAP HR with Finance, Procurement, and third-party HR/Payroll systems.

  • Familiarity with GDPR, compliance, and regulatory requirements for HR/payroll in the UK & Europe.

  • Track record of HR transformation programmes in global/multi-country contexts.

Tools & Methodologies

  • SAP HCM (on-premise) / S/4HANA HCM / SAP H4S4 Payroll.

  • SAP SuccessFactors (Employee Central, EC Payroll, Talent modules).

  • SAP Activate / Agile delivery methodology.

  • Integration tools: SAP CPI, BTP, middleware.

  • Reporting: SAP Analytics Cloud, embedded analytics.

Qualifications

  • SAP HCM / SuccessFactors certification (preferred).

  • Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF) desirable.

Stakeholder & Soft Skills

  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills with HR and IT leadership.

  • Ability to present solution options and trade-offs to senior stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership of functional consultants across multiple HR modules.

  • Problem-solving, with focus on compliance, user experience, and business value.

  • Comfortable working in complex, multi-country HR landscapes.
