As a Personal Systems Commercial Product Operations Manager at HP Shopping, you are responsible for managing the pricing updates, NPI tracking, demand planning & inventory order mgt of HP products within the Commercial PC product categories.  You will coordinate execution & operations with a team of Product Managers ensuring optimal product availability & customer experience for HP’s online US store and SMB call center. Winning requires a creative spirit, a laser-like focus on financial commitments, attention to detail, and the ability to flexibly adapt in real time to an ever-changing marketplace. You will be a member of the Product Category team, which is responsible for driving HP Shopping’s business performance for commercial notebooks, desktops, workstations, mobile workstations and thin clients.

Responsibilities

• Align product offering with target customer segment, considering market trends and competitive landscape
• Determine the assortment, defining specifications, configurations
• Manage new product launches and promotional plans throughout product lifecycle
• Coordinate with product managers to deliver or exceed Revenue & Margin commitments.
• Engages closely with marketing and merchandizing to bring product to life
• Maintains sales forecasting to manage inventory 
• Support price elasticity testing to maximize financial performance & optimize inventory planning

  Capabilities and Experience

  • Experience in commercial category management
  • Passion for technology, understanding of underlying PC technologies
  • Strong customer advocacy and understanding, awareness of tech trends
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing elements (product, pricing, promotion, positioning)
  • Highly analytical and structured, comfortable with sophisticated data analysis
  • Subject matter expertise w/ advanced Excel & Macro functions
  • Understanding of eCommerce and a direct sales environment
  • Highly collaborative & Agile
  • Track record of producing measurable results
  • Thriving in fast-pace environment with real-time decision making
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, understanding of P&L drivers
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade; strong team player
  • Extraordinary drive, confidence, risk taking; positive, “can-do” personality

  • Analytical Skills - tools and coding skills to enhance both data accuracy, Supply & Demand recommendations and operational efficiency

  Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-8 years related experience, or Master’s degree and 2-5 years related experience
