Northrop Grumman Launch and Missile Division (LMDS) is seeking a highly qualified and energetic leader for the position of Manager of Global Supply Chain (GSC) Operations. This position is fully engaged with the GSC team and other functions to improve and enhance GSC procedures, systems, processes, analytics, and tools. This position will be responsible for regular operations of the GSC functions and leveraging Agile and Lean techniques to reduce cycle times, improve performance, and enhance operational efficiency. Operations management focuses on the internal processes and activities within the organization to procure goods and services efficiently.
Roles and Responsibilities
This is a position with regular executive interactions and the selected candidate will display consistent impeccable judgment and embody Northrop Grumman leadership characteristics. Preferred work location is or Huntsville, AL / Chandler AZ; willing to consider alternate NG Space locations.
In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:
Lead a team managing GSC shared data, tools, systems and analytics; and leverage those capabilities to measure results and provide performance insight and decision support to the GSC team.
Lead the development of department digital transformation and key performance indicators.
Manage the division GSC operating cadence for reports, meetings and events such as staff meetings, reviews, and division, sector, and corporate reporting.
Lead initiatives to develop, document, and utilize standard work processes across distributed teams.
Organize and facilitate professional growth opportunities, work with department managers to identify and grow team member skills
Establish and execute projects in a Lean-Agile framework to support GSC strategic goals and improve efficient execution of the function.
Create the content and coordinate the review of GSC performance metrics such as monthly program reviews, key performance indicators, monthly and quarterly updates, sector-level division reviews, and other briefings/reports in support of division, sector and/or corporate data calls.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 9 years of experience in Global Supply Chain, Business Management, Program Management; OR Master's degree 7 years of experience
Understanding of U.S. Government regulations, including Cost Accounting Standards, FAR and Agency FAR supplements
Minimum of 3 years in a formal lead/management position
Full working knowledge of processes and activities within supply chain related operations, MRP/ERP systems and performance, international supply chain, operational excellence and supply base diversity.
Ability to interpret and apply company policies & procedures that address business unit issue.
Well-developed oral and written communication skills to successfully work across functions and programs at various levels and disciplines.
Ability to lead and work effectively in cross-functional, cross-Sector teams.
Strong Microsoft aptitude (Excel and PowerPoint)

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off
Salary Range: $142,600.00 - $213,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
