As part of this transformation, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to collaboratively drive the technical implementation of our strategic initiatives. Our team focuses on developing a world-class global associate experience by providing the HRMS parity across countries on different associate experiences. This is a highly visible and challenging multi-year initiative which is part of our enterprise strategy. We are a global team located across US and India

What you'll do:

We are looking for a seasoned and energetic Senior engineer who can drive the development of the platform working with a group of high energy engineers, other architects, product managers and report to leadership team. This role requires to be technically strong and be able to drive the development in a fast-paced environment. The candidate is expected to work with global teams, provide thought leadership, understand the business context and help provide right solutions, work with product and program managers to plan the releases, participate in sprint planning and handle deployments to production.

• Build, develop and guide a team of high-performing talent.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
• 6-10 years of experience architecting and developing scalable solutions
• As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll spend your days translating requirements into solutions, writing code, reusable components and services, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing us with the insights necessary to think beyond the status quo. You’ll oversee multiple project teams consisting of other engineers who will look to you as a trusted advisor, a subject matter expert who provides guidance and the right tools to get the job done.
• Expert in designing and architecting small to the large solution using appropriate design patterns
• Strong design and coding experience in Core Java, Object Oriented programming, Spring Boot, SQL(RDBMS), NoSQL (Cosmos), Kafka, Spring, Elastic Search
• Strong understanding of Agile methodology and leveraging SDLC tools to improve development and testing efficiency (JIRA, Jenkins, GIT, JUnit, Selenium, Lint)
• Experience in building secure, highly available, resilient, scalable distributed systems leveraging clustering and load balancing of web servers, app servers, and messaging systems 
• Deep knowledge of microservices & event-driven architecture patterns
• Strong Knowledge of container-based development, orchestration, microservices frameworks and tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Jersey, Swagger) 
• Exposure to web development and modern JS Frameworks is a strong plus (JavaScript, HTML 5, Angular or ReactJS)
• Experience in Cloud and Container-based development (Kubernetes) is a plus.
• identifying short- and long- term solutions and timeline; reviewing and approving proposed solutions, implementing new architectural patterns; and performing design and code reviews of changes.
• Provides support to the business for new and existing systems by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues (for example, technical feasibility); researching and identifying needed solutions; determining implementation designs; providing guidance regarding implications of new and enhanced systems; and directing users to appropriate contacts for issues outside of own domain.
• Troubleshoots business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality); performing root cause analysis to reduce future issues; engaging support teams when needed; developing solutions; driving the development of an action plan; performing actions as designated in the plan; and completing online documentation.
