Position Overview

The Corporate Development Integration Management Office (IMO) is responsible for maximizing impact from our acquisitions.  We serve as strategic partners to the sponsoring business leaders, acquired team, and corporate functions by developing and executing against integration strategies that support the value drivers for each transaction.  We partner with over 30 functional leaders across the company to drive financial and operational business outcomes.

Reporting into the IMO, the M&A Integration Manager will lead the successful integration of acquisitions into Autodesk, orchestrating across business teams and corporate functions to deliver against the deal objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive holistic integration strategy, planning, and execution for integration projects, including large scale, highly complex transformations

  • Closely partner with an extended team of 30+ cross functional integration leads across the company to develop integration strategy and plans for each deal that yields business/deal outcomes

  • Serve as strategic partner to business leaders, cross functional leads, and acquired team – managing program execution and mitigating cross functional risks/issues – proactively identify and drive resolution of critical challenges by leveraging strong business acumen and integration expertise

  • Participate in due diligence, understand the strategic objectives, drive integration planning, assess risks and challenges, develop comprehensive integration plans

  • Actively manage risks and roadblocks throughout integration. Elevate the conversation and drive executive decision-making

  • Effectively communicate project progress, issues, and goal achievement across senior leadership and project team audiences

  • Track progress against key performance/success metrics for integration success that align with strategic goals of each deal

  • Support implementation of practice improvements for M&A integration methodology and toolsets leveraging best in class practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years leading M&A integrations, experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects preferred

  • Influencing and Collaboration: Able to establish and build close working relationships. Collaborative, team-oriented planner and decision-maker. Ability to motivate and drive focus toward program goals, with both structure and flexibility

  • M&A Experience: Ample understanding of the acquisition life cycle, integration planning, and familiarity with integration methodologies.

  • Communication: Excellent communication, with the ability to effectively manage and facilitate virtual teams as necessary.  Ability to develop audience appropriate messages

  • Business Leadership: Strong, team-oriented leadership skills. Self-starter, independent. Solid business acumen. Working knowledge of major corporate functions

  • Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and tactically, pay strong attention to detail, and work with a moderate degree of ambiguity

  • Project and Program Management: Experience in planning, design, and implementation of complex, cross functional projects. Effective in influencing and making high quality decisions and taking decisive action. Ability to work well under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong meeting management skills

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $121,800 and $197,120. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
