POSITION: Part-Time Custodian    

DEPARTMENT: Event Services

REPORTS TO: Operations Director and Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of all types of flooring throughout facility.
  • Ensure that all areas remain free of trash.
  • Restrooms, dressing and locker rooms are well maintained, and tile surfaces are dry and clean.
  • Maintain all glass, steel, and office surfaces through dusting, cleaning and polishing.
  • Responsible for the proper storage of facility event equipment when not in use. Ensures all emergency pathways are kept free and clear of obstructions. Responsible for keeping housekeeping equipment and tools in working condition and notifying supervisor of any broken parts.
  • Ensures all equipment and supplies are cleaned and returned to their proper place when finished with them.
  • Completes daily checklist to ensure the cleanliness and safety of our patrons attending each event.
  • Assists clients with requests during events.
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve housekeeping operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to meet customer expectations.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team and with other building departments. Performs other duties as assigned by Operations Management.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
  • Knowledge of chemicals and equipment used for cleaning.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
