A Day in the Life

The Business Unit Manager – Cardiovascular Therapies is responsible for driving revenue growth and sales performance of the cardiovascular portfolio. Reporting directly to the Country Director, this role leads sales target achievement, revenue planning, forecasting accuracy, stock governance, distributor performance, and strategic engagement with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and key customers.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Drive revenue growth, sales targets, and market share expansion for cardiovascular therapies
  • Set, monitor, and deliver annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets with strong execution discipline
  • Lead sales forecasting, demand planning, and inventory management to ensure optimal stock availability
  • Manage and optimize distributor performance, including target setting, reviews, and corrective actions
  • Develop and execute pricing, and go-to-market strategies in line with business objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, key customers, and institutional stakeholders
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales and commercial team
  • Provide regular revenue, target, and performance updates to the Country Director.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • 10+ years of commercial leadership experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or healthcare
  • Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and sales targets, preferably in cardiovascular or specialty therapies
  • Strong experience in distributor-led sales models, forecasting, and inventory control
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skills.
