Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in accounting, finance or related field plus ten (10) years of experience in hospital finance leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree (strongly preferred) in accounting, finance or related field plus twelve (12) years of experience in hospital finance leadership.
CPA.

Responsibilities:
Identify and Drive Financial Performance Improvement Initiatives Across UAMS:
Provide leadership and guidance through management of performance metrics and measurement reporting process.
Provide financial reporting, analysis and KPI metrics to leadership that support day-to-day sound financial management.
Identify and share trends in financial data and make recommendations for action.
Analyze UAMS performance against external benchmarking and identify opportunities for improvement.
Oversee UAMS workforce productivity target setting and tracking against target.
Provide ongoing management of financial improvement initiatives identified by the Resource Optimization (ReOp) Committee to ensure achievement of goals.
Serve as a collaborative member of the finance leadership team, providing proactive and creative guidance and advice to senior leaders.
Develop Strategic Financial Plans:
Develop and execute long-term financial strategies, multi-year capital plans, and campus initiatives in partnership with executive leadership, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Responsible for financial planning functions including developing and maintaining short-term and long-term forecasting, business plan pro forma development on major initiatives/investment, and partnering with financial and operational leaders to ensure campus level decision are fully informed of financial implications.
Promotes a culture of data driven decision-making, including training groups on how to use actionable data.
Leading the strategic direction of the cost accounting and decision support functions.
Manage Relationships with Internal and External Stakeholders:
Represent the finance department as a subject matter expert in various meetings and committees.
Provide guidance and education to campus leadership.
Key internal stakeholders include, but is not limited to, Senior Leadership, Chancellor’s Cabinet, Controller’s Office, Research Support, Information Technology, UAMS Health Leadership, and members of the Administrative Council.
Key external stakeholders include, but is not limited to, UA System Office, Internal Audit, External Auditors, Consultants, and business partners.
