Job Description:
SCOPE: Schedules patient appointments for diagnostic imaging scans. Obtains comparison studies.
FUNCTIONS:
1. Scheduling of diagnostic procedures
2. Obtains authorizations & pre-certifications
3. Patient education
4. Medical chart management
5. HIM
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least one year of medical office experience preferred.
Knowledge of benefits and authorization process required.
Must be able to work independently, possess strong organizational and communication skills and to adhere to established goals and deadlines.
Computer skills; ICD-9 / ICD-10and CPT coding , Medicare and Medicaid regulations a plus.
