Finance & Control department in Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is a part of Global Finance organization and responsible for full accounting and financial reporting cycle for Circle K European operations. Circle K Business Centre is looking for a new colleague to join our team as:

Accountant in Cash Accounting Team

Type of Employment: Permanent

Location: Riga, Latvia

Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Respond to queries from site managers, representatives of business units (BU) and/or external partners if required.

• Check, prepare and process journal entries, based on information received from BU and other partners.

• Answer questions from other Company units on processed financial records.

• Perform periodical closing procedures.

• Perform balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis, control cash flow from stations, resolve discrepancies and errors.

• Handle audit requests.

• Contribute to process improvement projects.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• University/College degree in accounting, economics or finance field.

• Previous experience in accounting, finance or audit field.

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and willingness to learn new systems.

• Excellent organizing abilities and attention to details.

• Ability to work independently.

• Ability to analyze things, and conduct investigations on discrepancies.

• Fluent English language skills (oral and writing) to communicate with colleagues in Europe.
