Job Description:

In support of OMS 5.4.3 the Maintenance Planner plans, coordinates, and optimizes preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for pipeline/terminal assets using CMMS. Ensure safe, efficient work aligned with regulatory requirements and the Work Management Process (WMP). Collaborates with Operations & Maintenance, Engineering, Reliability, Integrity, and contracted service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

Work Order planning

  • Review incoming work notifications and convert to approved CMMS work orders

  • Ensure Job Plans include labor, materials, tools, and permits required to complete the job

  • Associate job plans with PM records for accuracy

  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering Disciplines on routine job plan updates

Scheduling & Coordination

  • Update priorities/dates per WMP

  • Support weekly/long-range schedules

  • Ensure materials are reserved and available

  • Coordinate contractor mobilization and access

  • Participate in weekly scheduling meetings

Data Quality & System Integrity

  • Maintain asset/location data, BOMs, failure codes, and classifications

  • Validate work order closeout info

  • Monitor backlog, run QA/QC reports

  • Ensure PMs/ job plans are generated and sequenced correctly

Reliability & Continuous Improvement

  • Refine PM strategies with Reliability Engineers

  • Provide failure history/data as requested

  • Support RCAs/HAZOPs/LOPAs loading actions into CMMS as appropriate

  • Improve job plan/BOM/spares strategy

HSE & Compliance

  • Assign PM/job plans per CFR49.192/195 and BP Mandated Asset Strategies

  • Ensure LOTO/permit requirements are available and approved prior to work execution

  • Support regulatory audits

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • Experience in a refinery, chemical plant, or similar

  • Experience planning/scheduling/resource coordination

  • CMMS experience (e.g. Maximo, SAP)

  • Ability to read P&IDs, isometrics, schematics, OEM manuals

  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation equipment

  • Strong communication, coordination, detail orientation, and organizational skills

  • Able to manage competing priorities
