The Distribution Business Planning & Strategy team is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to drive subscription volume and revenue for Warner Brothers Discovery’s Distribution business, focusing on Global App Platforms, Channels, MVPD, Virtual MVPD, and FAST distributors across Max, Cinemax, Discovery+, the Basic Networks, and more.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports team in developing overarching Max subscription, activation, and engagement strategies for Distribution, in collaboration with full Distribution team and other WBD stakeholders. Organizes into a cohesive story in support of the annual Distribution Business Plan.
  • Supports team in modeling and communicating subscriber goals (in partnership with Finance teams) and activation/engagement goals.
  • Pulls and interprets data/reporting metrics via Looker, excel, and other tools. Develops and communicates additional reporting needs to the Analytics & Insights teams.
  • Supports creation of and updates to various internal team documents, including trackers (subscriber reporting, offer performance, competitive info, etc.) and performance decks.
  • Works with Partner Mgmt to confirm accuracy of data for external decks (e.g., QBRs).
  • Works with Analytics & Insights team to request & develop necessary ad-hoc statistical analyses to support business strategies, marketing plans, and product roadmap prioritization.
  • Upholds a ‘test and learn’ approach for all new portfolio initiatives by evaluating performance after execution of each initiative to optimize go-forward strategy. Leverages disparate sources of information to do so, including quantitative analyses from the Analytics & Insights team as well as other factors that influence performance (marketing/merchandising, partner relationships, etc.).
  • Takes on project management role in supporting execution of distribution and streaming initiatives, including ongoing coordination across various teams.
  • Knowledgeable on competitive trends within OTT space (new launches, competitor promotions, etc.), and translates to WBD as applicable. Compiles and reports out findings/recommendations.
  • Cultivates and manages relationships with internal stakeholders. Facilitates the constant flow of information between teams that is critical to the day-to-day business.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Analytical and motivated. Comfort with ambiguity and quickly changing priorities (required)
  • Expertise with Excel & PowerPoint (required). Prior experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A naturally strong collaborator (required)
  • Strong organizational & time management skills (required)

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $77,000.00 - $143,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
