About the role:
The Senior Site Leader will be responsible for the overall success of our Colombia team. This is a critical leadership role, with a primary focus on improving performance, reducing attrition, and preparing the site for extensive future growth while fostering a professional environment. The Senior Team Leader will be the face of the team, ensuring that Podium hits our objectives and all employees receive the guidance, support, and mentorship necessary to succeed.

What you will be doing:

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Provide supportive and empathetic partnership to a team of Sales Managers, focusing on developing their skills and guiding their growth. Cultivate a culture of mentorship, continuous learning, and professional development.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the main point of contact for the US leadership team, providing regular updates on team performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations of the Colombia team, ensuring smooth workflows and communication between the local team and the US-based leadership.
  • HR Operations: Manage and execute HR policies and payroll, ensuring alignment with the company's global HR practices and Operating Principles.
  • Policy Process and Development: Develop, refine and implement HR policies, procedures, and systems tailored to Colombia's business environment.
  • Team Relations & Support: Serve as the main point of contact for personnel in Colombia, overseeing onboarding, resolving workplace issues with timely and effective solutions, and ensuring alignment with company policies in coordination with US leadership.
  • Attrition Reduction: Analyze the root causes of turnover and implement strategies to reduce attrition and increase team engagement, retention and overall satisfaction.
  • Team Building & Culture: Foster a collaborative, transparent and accountable work environment that aligns with the company’s operating principles, building strong team cohesion and culture.
  • Office Location Selection & Improvements: Lead the identification, selection, and ongoing maintenance of office locations, ensuring they meet the team's needs while adhering to budgetary and operational requirements. Oversee improvements to facilities to foster a productive and comfortable working environment.
  • IT & Equipment Management: Coordinate with our internal IT team to oversee the distribution and maintenance of IT equipment and ongoing reliability of Wifi and infrastructure

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications would be an advantage.
  • Strong English speaking skills
  • Geographically located in Medellin, Colombia and able to work in the Podium Office
  • Willing and able to work U.S. hours
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in a senior management or leadership role, ideally with experience managing sales or customer-facing teams.
  • Sales Expertise: Strong understanding of sales processes and methodologies, particularly in a sales development environment.
  • People Management Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams, particularly with younger personnel who need guidance and structure.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of successfully addressing challenges in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and build relationships across different cultures, with experience working in or managing teams in Colombia a strong plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to different audiences, from entry-level personnel to senior executives.
  • Operational Expertise: Strong organizational and operational skills, with experience overseeing the administrative and operational functions of an office.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align the team’s activities with broader company goals and implement long-term strategies for team success.
