About this role
Dow has an opportunity as Senior TS&D Specialist (Oil&Gas segment) located in Jundiaí – SP (BRA). This position is responsible for supporting customer needs by leading the development of new applications, especially in the Oil & Gas segment. Provides technical knowledge on the use, handling, and management of Dow products. Uses understanding of the customer to define projects that deliver technical solutions to customers and markets.
In this role, you will require understanding of key business drivers for your discipline and function. You will need to be able to expand conceptual and working knowledge related to your discipline or functional area. You are expected to provide informal guidance to new team members and be able to explain complex information to others.
It is your responsibility to use technical experience, established practices, and personal judgement to analyze and resolve straightforward problems. Your performance impacts the quality of your own work and your team’s work and requires that you work within established guidelines and policies.
Responsibilities – Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role
Uses broad market, customer and application knowledge and understanding of the competitive technologies to solve complex technical issues
Convinces others about differentiated technical solutions
Articulates synergies between technologies to maximize value effectively and understands how business value is created for Dow and the customer
Applies and uses project methodologies in a manner that is considered exemplary.
Participates in the development and implementation of IC strategy for a business or platform
Fully participates in the development of technology maps for projects and leads area of IP development
Coaches others in identifying opportunities and how to understand and articulate value of Dow technologies in different applications
Coaches others in the use of the scientific method and project methodologies and how different tools can be applied to projects
Delivers presentations or reports that distill complex ideas into clear results and proposals; communicates appropriately to influence internal and external audiences
Communicates and appropriately documents work in the form of internal reports/ROC's/presentations, technology manuals, knowledge management resources, external reports, and patents when appropriate
Serves as principal author on papers and presentations and presents at industry conferences
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or science related field
Considerable previous technical experience in Oil & Gas market/application.
Advanced English.
Desired:
Chemical and petroleum engineering
Masters degree or PhD
