Role & Responsibilities

As a member of the cost optimization (VAVE) team, you will support the identification and execution of cost reduction opportunities, contribute to design concept development, and assist in building standardized engineering practices.

• Review and interpret technical specifications and requirements; seek clarification when needed
• Identify potential cost reduction opportunities in assigned products with guidance from senior team members
• Develop an understanding of component functionality through self-learning and hands-on exposure
• Support the development of design concepts and perform basic engineering calculations and trade-off analyses under guidance
• Assist in component selection to meet technical and performance requirements
• Prepare design documentation based on reviews, inputs, and established engineering processes
• Develop a working understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerances
• Conduct alternative component searches and perform basic design evaluations independently
• Gain exposure to design and simulation tools and progressively build hands-on proficiency
• Support preparation of design artifacts and documentation in line with defined processes
• Demonstrate a proactive learning mindset and willingness to take on new challenges

Skills & Proficiencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 0–2 years of experience
• Strong understanding of core mechanical engineering fundamentals (e.g., strength of materials, theory of machines, heat transfer)
• Basic knowledge of design principles, engineering drawings, and tolerancing
• Good problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
• Attention to detail and a structured approach to tasks
• Strong learning agility, curiosity, and willingness to develop new skills
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
