Group Description:

We are seeking a Pune-based developer to join the Multi-Asset Technology team to provide technology solutions for our buy-side Multi-Asset Solutions investment unit. The job will focus on building tools to support the Research and Systematic investment process for a combination of quantitative and fundamental research analysts and portfolio managers.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Participate in support and development of multi-asset strategies involving portfolio optimization, monitoring, trade building and trade routing
• Developing robust quality control processing, monitoring and workflow tools
• Automation of existing manual processes
• Provide support for overnight batch jobs

Qualifications, Experience, Education:

This position requires:

• A desire to grow their knowledge about the investment implementation lifecycle and various markets including equities, credit, rates, fx and volatility.
• A desire to learn about modern software development using a CI/CD deployment methodology using Python, Azure, Kubernetes, SQL, etc
• Must demonstrate good communication and strong analytical skills
• Candidate must be willing to take full ownership of projects covering - analysis, technical design, implementation, testing, and deployment tasks

Experience and Education Required:

• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering
• 3+ years’ experience in application development using Python
• 2+ years’ experience programming SQL queries and stored procedures (Microsoft SQL Server)
• 2+ years’ experience supporting quantitative research
• Must be proficient with object oriented design principles
• Advanced Excel programming experience a strong plus
• Development experience in MATLAB a plus

Special Knowledge (if applicable):

• Experience with Git/GitHub
• Familiarity with Dash for build web based dashboards, reports and user interfaces
• Experience with market data vendors - Bloomberg
• Experience with PnL and performance attribution reporting
• Experience working in the finance industry, demonstrable curiosity in quantitative research and investment
