Job Description

Brookfield Property Group ("BPG") is looking for a motivated individual to work on the Finance and Operations team. This position is more than a typical treasury role as the team is also heavily involved in fund operations, process improvement and systems implementation.

This position would be suitable for those candidates who meet the role qualifications and who thrive in a performance-driven environment that emphasizes employee leadership and accountability for delivering results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in credit facility related functions such as drafting borrowing notices, tracking outstanding debt, maintaining interest schedules, and renewing loans as required

  • Treasury:

    • Cash management and funds flow for more than 1,900 bank accounts of Brookfield’s global flagship funds

    • Support opening, closing and signor changes on bank accounts

    • Assist in the maintenance of the company’s bank accounts   

    • Execute treasury operations and maintain controls

    • Setup and review cash flow template. Initiate required wire and ACH activity into bank portal

  • Assist with managing banking and lending relationships

  • Assist with implementing global cash management strategies

  • Assist with managing and ensuring all external & internal audit testing & development of new controls are in compliance and operated as designed

  • Responsible for managing relationship between fund administrator and bank loan admin

  • Special Projects:

    • Assist with deal-closing processes

    • Assist with other special projects as required

Candidate Profile:

This position offers excellent opportunities in a dynamic environment. To qualify, candidates must have:

  • At least 4-5 years of treasury experience

  • Ability to design financial processes and controls

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Advanced knowledge of FIS Quantum or any other leading treasury management system

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Team oriented

  • Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative

  • Ability to multitask with good time management skills to meet multiple reporting deadlines

  • Good process management skills

Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000

Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education, and designations.
