The Global Partners Operations is hiring an experienced Principal Program Manager. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual contributor with a comprehensive Program Management toolkit and proven track record to influence, drive, and collaborate cross-functional teams to build our modern Partner ecosystem for Workday.
The Principal Program Manager works within our Partner Management Organization (PMO) pillar of the Global Partner Operations organization. The ideal candidate will have prior work experience in Partner Ecosystems, Sales Strategy & Operations or Revenue Operations. The role requires strong analytical skills and unwavering attention to detail. You are self-motivated, results driven, and have experience presenting and communicating to different levels of leadership and collaborators across the organization. You work independently and take ownership while driving alignment & execution of entrepreneurial, cross-functional initiatives.
You will report to our Sr. Director of Program Management with primary focus areas to include:
Leading efforts for our Partner Relationship Management (PRM) roadmap
Works closely with the Program Sponsors and Leaders to drive decisions, mitigate risks and resolve issues
Presents program status updates to senior management, highlighting risks and providing recommendations to support product and operational level decisions
Identifies and handles risks, anticipates issues and tracks key actions throughout the program life cycle
Have in depth understanding of the product vision, value proposition and roadmap, key results and interdependencies
Leverage past operational, enablement and customer experience to solve problems, fill gaps and achieve objectives through a cross functional team.
Responsible for effective communication and issue resolution while ensuring timely decisions are being made.
Scopes business problems and processes by identifying key issues, inputs, team members, and outcomes.
Continue to improve our Global Partners PMO processes, procedures and collateral
About You
We are looking for an experienced Principal Program Manager teammate who is passionate about building impactful teams and understands the value of structure while balancing the need for agility and innovation within that framework. Using transformation program management standard methodologies, this role will guide your team and at times step in directly to lead the facilitation of business strategy definition, scope identification, cross functional design, timeline alignment and driving on time delivery of committed outcomes and results.
8+ years of progressive experience leading large-scale cross-functional Programs within a Go-To-Market, SaaS or a mid to large size software organization or consulting company.
8+ years of experience in Partner Operations, Sales Operations or Business Operations
Experience with solutions and/or implementation consulting
Experience with M&A integrations and technology planning
Experience in Program Management of a CRM or PRM
PMP, PMI Institute, Scaled Agile, or equivalent Certification
A toolbox of multiple program management methodologies
A passion for team mentorship, employee development and building a team culture based on delivering results at speed while having fun
Experience with PMO portfolio management, framework and standards development.
Experience in working and building trusted relationships with executive leaders
Knowledge of design thinking, strategy definition, agility concepts and the ability to step in as a business transformation advisor as needed.
Experience leading transformation programs in the software industry with an enterprise products company or consulting experience is a plus

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
