Dave & Buster’s/Main Event is seeking a Financial Analyst, Sales to join our finance team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our sales planning and analysis efforts, helping Dave & Buster’s make informed financial decisions, and driving business growth. You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing valuable insights to senior management and our Operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales Forecasting & Planning:
  • Develop and maintain sales forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
  • Support the annual planning process and monthly/quarterly business reviews.
  • Collaborate with key departments to include key internal drivers of sales inputs
• Financial Analysis:
  • Analyze sales performance metrics and trends to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate various scenarios.
  • Perform cannibalization analysis with competitors & new location openings.
  • Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to assess potential risks and opportunities.
• Reporting:
  • Maintain regular dashboards and reports on sales performance, KPIs, and financial results for leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, summaries, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.

• Process Improvement:
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline reporting tools and automate data workflows using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Ad Hoc Analysis:
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree or CFA/CPA certification is a plus).

• 1–3 years in financial analysis, preferably supporting sales

• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
• Experience with Oracle ERP
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation abilities
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and interact effectively with various departments.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and accounting principles.
• Experience with Power BI Dashboards and/or multi-unit (restaurant, retail) would be a plus.
• Experience with F&B analysis would be a plus.
