Position: Financial Analyst Summer Intern for FP&A

Job description:

This role within our Financial Planning & Analysis team will be primarily working with our Commercial Bank business finance officers.  During this 10 week program, you will gain an understanding on being a part of a finance team, learn about the banking industry, specifically the Commercial Banking line of business as well as complete a project to close out the experience.

Responsibilities to include:

- Assist in month-end close, including preparation of journal entries for accruals as well as other pre-close entries and prepare monthly general ledger reconcilements.

- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts to support business decision-making.

- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation.

- Collaborate with various departments to gather and analyze data for financial planning and performance evaluations.

- Help to collect deliverables for quarter end reporting.

- Learn the company's internal profitability methodologies and measurement

- Provide support for ad-hoc financial projects and reporting as needed.

Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements for Interns:

  • Current undergraduate rising Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited college or university who is pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field and has an interest in the banking/financial services industry.

  • Highly organized
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail
  • Experience creating and delivering presentations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to learn quickly and solve problems
