Job Summary…  The Location Rental Manager assists the Rental Manager in leading the business to overall profitability and growth of the rental product line through successful implementation of Marketing, Sales Management & Execution, Leadership, Operations and Fleet Management, as well as Development of assigned teams at each location. The “LRM” will be responsible for overall Management of a set number of locations with concise objectives such as but not limited to; Performance against Company Metrics, Asset Management, Customer Retention, Development of Team through the execution of Company Standards and the overall plan of the Sr. Management Team. Once assigned locations, the LRM will supervise all Rental personal including: Rental Account Managers, Transfer Drivers, Rental Management Trainees, Rental Sales Representatives, and Sr. Rental Sales Representatives. The end result for the LRM should be increased collaboration, development, and market growth within their assigned locations and Business Unit. In addition to their supervisory responsibilities, the LRM will need to work & train cross-functionally with the Sales, Operations, and Rental teams in order to be able to develop skills that will prepare them for future management opportunities.

Essential Functions

  • Rental Counter(s) Operations:
    Daily Managerial Responsibilities- Ensure audit compliance, establish hours and days of operation, develop and maintain operating standards, maintain facility appearances, isolate and identify problem areas, analyze situation, develop strategies and action plans, assist with equipment needs, follow up on administration exceptions and ensure safety compliance. Monitor delinquent agreement reports to ensure risk exposure is minimized, and all company policies regarding credit card handling is executed properly. Asset Management :Monitor vehicle performance and Utilization, minimize out of service status, and vehicle activity to ensure greatest potential for utilization growth and Revenue attainment. Ensure standards for fleet appearance are met on a daily basis, and inbound/outbound inspection standards are kept to alleviate instances for unbillable damage.
  • Sales/Marketing and Customer Service:
    Sales/Marketing- Working with the assigned RAM(s) at Locations; Identify Market potential, develop and implement marketing plans, marketing objectives, identify target customers and prospects, evaluate and develop strategy against competition, monitor competition actions and activities, monitor inbound/outbound telemarketing standards are being met by the RAM and Counter Teams.
    Customer Service- Ensure operations are efficient in handling customer’s ongoing needs. Handle specific customer needs and requirements, handle customer complaints and/or Disputes.
  • Collaboration:
    Ensure proper leadership, communication between other functional areas of the CBU through regular staff calls and collaborative meetings with Management of Ops and Sales. Creating a culture of collaboration and development via RAM and BDM engagement, RAM and National Rental engagement, and RMT/RSR and Shop engagement on a regular basis.
  • Planning/Forecasting:
    Planning- Responsible for overall profitability of rental product line specifically achieving both revenue and margin plains for both branch and CBU. Review all reports and analyze performance as well as execute action plans to maximize returns for Rental.
    Forecasting- Ability to forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual results accurately and timely through Workday Financials. Responsible for analyzing and interpreting performance through financial reporting, metrics, and internal performance tracking.
  • Staffing/Development:
    Staffing- Maintain staffing levels for assigned branches, assist in the hiring and on-boarding of new employees, as well as setting objectives, monitoring job performance, delegation of tasks, communication of priorities, and all company guidelines.
    Development- Evaluate strengths and weakness of staff, work with Individual Development Plans for all managed personnel. Conduct on-going on the job training, as well as track and manage employee progress in assigned training programs through Workday specific for position and enhanced development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or 4 years job related experience
  • Two (2) years or more Experience managing others, required
  • Five (5) years or more Rental experience with rotational exposure to all aspects of the business (rental counters, sales, branch operations, etc.), preferred
  • Excellent consumer and commercial buying knowledge advanced required
  • P & L knowledge & marketing creativity advanced required

Compensation Information:

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc.

Compensation ranges for the position are below:

Pay Type:

Salaried

Minimum Pay Range:

$60,000

Maximum Pay Range:

$80,000

The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
