Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently hiring a Senior Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our Division’s Global Supply Chain team.

This position is based on site for a hybrid role in Redondo Beach, CA. This is not a remote/telecommuting position. No relocation will be provided.

Job duties include:

  • Day to day support to GSC PM regarding program metrics, CDRL status and completion, sales forecasting, and GSC labor while closely coordinating with/supporting other functions and IPT’s
  • May be assigned as a lead of projects that have budgetary and schedule requirements
  • Compiles and provides succinct status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports, oftentimes briefing leadership
  • Define and execute the material strategy, aligning supply resources with corporate objectives and product line priorities
  • Conduct make‑vs‑buy analysis and manage product phase‑in, phase‑out, manufacturing ramp‑up, and end‑of‑life transitions
  • Partner with sourcing, operations, and finance to synchronize inventory targets, resolve non‑standard part requirements, and mitigate critical‑path procurements

Basic Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree and 8+ years of supply chain, contracts, subcontracts, procurement, logistics or other relevant experience. Or in lieu of a degree, 12 years of supply chain, contracts, subcontracts, procurement, logistics or other relevant experience
  • Has held a lead role on a project or implementation
  • Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system
  • MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supply chain experience for an aerospace and/or defense company
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain or an MBA
  • CAM/EVMS experience
  • Experience in CDRL/SDRL tracking and reporting
  • Capture/Proposal experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
