Located in the heart of Colonial Heights, South Park Medical Center provides care to patients with various orthopedic needs in Richmond’s Tri-Cities area. Our team treats patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics with sub-specialties to include hand, podiatry, sports medicine, and wound care. Our clinical team comprised of RNs, LPNs, CMAs, Athletic Trainers and Ortho Techs consists of many skill sets and scopes of practice to enhance patient outcomes and experiences. Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:
- Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible compact state
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:
- Current RN licensure in Virginia
- AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent
Experience REQUIRED:
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience
- Charge Nurse experience or supervisory experience
Experience PREFERRED
- Minimum 5 years' experience
- Academic Health Care experience
- Experience with similar patient population in an acute care either setting or as applicable to area of practice
Education/training REQUIRED
- Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program recognized and/or approved by the corresponding state’s Board of Nursing.
Education/training PREFERRED:
- BSN prepared
- Certification in specialty area
Independent action(s) required:
- Follows documented physician/licensed independent provider orders.
- Practices within the boundaries of the regulations governing the practice of nursing in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Practice is guided by the ANA Code of Ethics for Nursing and established national nursing practice standards. All practice is guided by and follows the VCUHS policies and procedures and established practice guidelines.
- Organizes and plans work with input from the patient/family with specific outcomes and demonstrated use of sound clinical judgment and resources.
Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable):
- Organizes work and delegates and supervises others (RN’s, LPNs, Care Partners, PAR, etc.) in carrying out assignments. - Supervises licensed and unlicensed personnel in clinical area
Additional position requirements:
- Ambulatory clinical coordinator works designated shifts, days of the week, and/or holidays based on work area. Individual shift rotation and schedules will be established with your supervisor. Schedules, including requirements of shift rotations and hours of work may be adjusted as necessary to meet clinical care area requirements and/or as needed.
