Job Description:
Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) related to HR systems and business processes, systems functionality, configuration and capabilities. Human Resources Information Systems Administration & Reporting (HRIS) work focuses on vendor selection, configuring, maintaining, and generating reports for an HR information system. This position will play a lead role in the implementation and support of systems initiatives and integrations and participate in vendor evaluations and assessments. Work with internal teams to gather and validate business requirements and recommend solutions
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees and provides technical support for HRIS colleagues and HR system end-users.
- Serves as technical lead on project teams for upgrades, fix, updates and module rollout. Follows company software development lifecycle to design, code, configure, test, debug, and document system and application programs.
- Leads the ongoing design, configuration, deployment, integration and maintenance of HR system configuration.
- Analyzes and recommends best practice technical solutions and specifications for enhancements to the HRIS.
- Develop and manage project plans for upgrades/new functionality.
- Writes detailed technical specifications, including overall architectural production design of a large system, specific production area, or complex technology application. Apply in-depth analysis and expert involvement in specific production areas.
- Performs complex unit and system testing to scalable architectural, quality product and process design.
- Ensures dashboard, reporting and embedded analytics supports HR security and access protocols.
- Responsible for the development of ad hoc report requests to meet business requirements.
- Researches new technology or development tools to remain abreast of current and emerging technology.
- Builds system integrations and develops and maintains HRIS standards and procedures.
- Responsible for conducting weekly software audits of the HRIS products for compliance with established standards, policies, configuration guidelines and procedures.
- Reviews functional requirements, analysis and design documents and provides feedback.
- Collaborates with other development staff to achieve quality and consistency. Participates in architecture, design and code reviews.
- Develops and maintains operational and system level documentation.
- Experience supporting time keeping system for union/bargaining unit workforce.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Typically possesses Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 8+ years of experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- In-depth understanding of object oriented architecture
- In-depth knowledge of HR system (HR system).
- Ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional analytic skills and capabilities.
- Ability to anticipate, draw conclusions, and adapt to changing needs.
- Ability to consult with stakeholders and identify metrics and interpretation needed in deliverables.
- Self-motivated with a focus on driving results and strong sense of accountability.
- Experience supporting a global customer base.
- Proficient with project management methodology and tools.
