What You Will Do:

This position is a non-billable, full time business development position in Guidehouse Energy, Sustainability and State and Local Government Segment.  The person in this role is focused on sourcing, developing, and closing Low Code / No Code engagements (inclusive but not limited to SalesForce, Appian and ServiceNow technologies) with the Guidehouse Digital Solutions – Low Code /No Code practice.   The person will also use his / her Low Code / No Code relationships to strengthen joint business development activity between Low Code /No Code sales teams and Guidehouse.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for originating, retaining, and strengthening client relationships and relationships with Low Code /No Code sales / business development leaders
  • Identifying, initiating, and developing new business through active prospecting with current and new client contacts in energy companies, utilities, state agencies, large cities, and large counties in specified territories
  • Develops and maintains relationships with Low Code /No Code sales reps., internal teams and in-market
  • Understands Guidehouse service offerings in other areas (non- Low Code /No Code), management consulting, strategy, and advisory for benefit of existing clients and prospects
  • Conducts research and prospecting as needed to capture information on competitive situation in CRM or licensing / permitting replacement situations and develop a pipeline that will yield profitable revenue in support of Guidehouse’s financial goals
  • Assist in refining go-to-market approach and providing insights on offerings
  • Attends conferences and marketing events relevant to optimization and automation of business processes, especially with low code / no code solutions targeted for energy, sustainability and state and local government
  • Negotiate contract terms with prospects in line with corporate guidelines.
  • Keep CRM / pipeline info up-to-date and management informed on progress, opportunities, and challenges.

What You Will Need:

  • 5 years solution sales in Energy, Sustainability and/or state and local government
  • 3 years+ of demonstrated success selling Low Code /No Code services sales in for utilities, energy, sustainability and/or state and local government
  • 10+years of prior relevant experience with a broad, relevant industry network is preferred
  • Knowledge of Salesforce partner ecosystem and knowledge of Salesforce software offerings or ServiceNow or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Strong oral and written communications to varying levels within client organizations including experience selling to and working with C-suite
  • Strong customer service, time management and organizational skills
  • PC and software skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to negotiate both contracts and business needs
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university

  • Ability to lead Salesforce product and other low Code /No Code demonstrations
  • Passion for solving complex business challenges
  • Familiarity with new product development preferred
  • Preference will be given to candidates who live in Albany, Atlanta, Chicago, Boston, Sacramento

The annual salary range for this position is $183,200.00-$274,800.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
